DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
For international orders we only offer the DIGITAL option.

DIGITAL PORTRAITS
ARE DIGITAL ARTWORKS HAND DRAWN?
Yes, they are drawn on an iPad using a program called ‘procreate’.
We have several videos on our social media showing the process of creating the digital portraits.
WHAT FORMAT DO YOU SEND DIGITAL FILES?
JPEG but we can send as PNG or PDF upon request.
CAN YOU REFERENCE FROM POOR QUALITY/ OLDER PHOTOS?
Of course, it is preferable to have clear, sharp photographs to reference from, however, we do understand that this is not always possible. Especially if your loved one or pet is no longer with us, and you only have old photographs. If this is the case, don’t stress, we can still create a beautiful portrait using our ARTISTIC style which you can find examples of on our page. We recommend scanning any older photos rather than taking a photo using your phone to retain a higher quality.
Unfortunately if the photo is in BLACK & WHITE we cannot draw the portrait in colour as we cannot guarantee a realistic result.

PRINTING/FRAMING
HOW DO I PRINT MY DIGITAL PORTRAIT?
The file is sent using drop-box/google-drive/we-collect app in a png or JPEG format.
You need to download it, save it, and open it in Photoshop. We recommend printing it on an acid-free paper for durability.
We can organize for your portrait to be professionally printed at your own expense, in this case, postage and handling will also be calculated upon request.
HOW BIG CAN I PRINT DIGITAL PORTRAITS?
We recommend printing up to 80x80cm without compromising resolution.
DO YOU FRAME COMMISSIONS?
Unfortunately, no, we do not.

PAYMENT
DO YOU OFFER A PAYMENT PLAN?
Unfortunately, we do not offer a payment plan at the moment.
We require a 50% deposit to secure your spot and the remainder is paid upon completion of the commission.
We hope to be able to offer this option in the near future.
HOW DO I PAY IF I AM OVERSEAS?
For international orders we accept PAYPAL (fees will be calculated accordingly).

PHOTOS
HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU NEED?
When filling in the application there will be a limit of photos, this is because we need at least one clear photograph to reference (If it is a #momentthatneverhappened this means one of each individual that is being added/combined) however, you can send through as many photographs as you like via email or social media to help us understand details and colours. We can also help you choose the best photo for your portrait if you are unsure.
THE MORE PHOTOS THE BETTER!
WHAT SIZE DOES THE PHOTO FILE NEED TO BE?
As large as possible! This will allow us to zoom and see more details without losing resolution which directly affects the photo quality.
CAN YOU COMBINE INDIVIDUAL PHOTOS?
THIS CAN ONLY BE DONE IN THE DIGITAL OPTION.
It is usually possible to combine photos, in most cases we call this a #momentthatneverhappened.
Sometimes it can be tricky due to light/shadow/tone varying between photos and the camera position needs to be similar for it to look natural. (E.g. If one photo is taken from above, and the other is taken from a lower position it won’t work)
If they are not too different, usually adjustments can be made to successfully combine them, however.
Please note that some changes require extra time and work which may incur an extra fee.
CAN YOU MODIFY PHOTOS?
THIS CAN ONLY BE DONE IN THE DIGITAL OPTION.
Modifying photos is usually NOT possible. Things like adding a smile or opening closed eyes are extremely hard to do when there is no direct reference, this is because we have never seen the person or pet to see how their face moves. Adjustments that can be made include adding an accessory, changing eye or hair colour, clothing, removing or adding pet collars/tags etc.
Please note that some adjustments require extra time and work which may incur an extra fee.

GENERAL
HOW LONG IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?
It depends on the projects I’m working on, how big your commission is, and time of the year.
We open applications for spots quarterly and this is done via our mailing list that can be found at the bottom of this page.
Once your application has been approved the commission process usually takes around 4-6 weeks until completion. Please see our COMMISSIONS page for more information.
ARE THERE THINGS YOU WON'T ILLUSTRATE?
We WON’T illustrate explicit sexual content and ideologically sensitive content that might be considered offensive. We also DON’T illustrate anything violent or “dark”, this includes gore themes.
DO YOU OFFER GIFT CERTIFICATES?
Yes, we have a beautiful a5 size certificate printed on thick velvet finish paper and foiled in gold is available for purchase. You can choose any amount, and it will be sent to the recipient of the voucher.
DO YOU CREATE LOGOS?
Unfortunately, not as procreate does not allow for an image to be vectorized.
IS MY COMMISSION REFUNDABLE?
No. Once the order has been placed and the deposit has been paid, the portrait is not refundable.
